I strive to create paintings that capture both my sensory and emotional experience of natural places, merging of the carefully observed physical landscape with my own harder to pin down emotional landscape. Emergence grew from observations of the light and vegetation in my own neighborhood and only toward the end of the process revealed itself to be about a transitionary period in my own life.
